Introduction to Hmong Needlework (paj ntaub)

Grades 5-6, teens, and adults. Calling all artists at heart. Join us for a cultural program of Hmong Needlework (paj ntaub). Participants will learn unique patterns and the rich history of the Hmong paj ntaub (“flower cloth”). Local artist Mandora Young will lead participants in selecting a pattern and creating their own paj ntaub. Materials provided. Brookdale Library will display the completed pieces in May in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Note: Space is limited (10 people maximum).

Participants are not required to attend all five sessions, though it is recommended.
