Introduction to Hmong Needlework

Description

Join us for a cultural program of Hmong Needlework (paj ntaub). Participants will learn unique patterns and the rich history of the Hmong paj ntaub (“flower cloth”). Local artist Mandora Young will lead participants in selecting a pattern and creating their own paj ntaub. Materials provided. Rockford Road Library will display the completed pieces in May in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.

Participants are not required to attend all six sessions, though it is recommended.
